Day 1 Arrive Delhi
Traditional welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport by Travel Pals India executive with fresh marigold flower garlands and then transferred by air-conditioned exclusive minivan to your reserved hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 Delhi
Breakfast at hotel. Introduced with your guide for a tour of the historic city Delhi. The city where one can experience the influence of the many rulers who ruled this region, a city built and destroyed and re-built over seven times. The guided tour commences with a visit to the Lakshmi Narayan Hindu temple and further takes you to monuments that depict the different eras. The tour includes visit to the magnificent Red Fort (exterior), The Jama Masjid - one of the Asia's largest mosque, cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Old Delhi passing through Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bazaar etc, Humanyun's Tomb, Qutab Minar - 73 mt. tall minaret, India Gate war memorial, President's House and drive through Connaught Place.
Day 3 Jodhpur
Morning departure transfer to Delhi T3 airport for just over an hour's flight to Jodhpur. Arrive in Jodhpur by noon and be welcomed by your trip leader who will escort you to your hotel and make you comfortable so that you can prepare yourself for the next part. We have chosen a heritage hotel for your first assignation with Rajasthan's history and architecture. On this, we get acquainted with the weather and each other, check on the bikes and get ready for the big ride. We step out today, to meander around the colorful market of Jodhpur and discover the tiny shops lines located on both sides of the narrow lanes and passages in these markets. You can find and shop textiles, silver, handicrafts, spices, vegetables and Indian sweets here. But wait this is just the first perception of Rajasthan's pulsating culture.
Day 4 Jodhpur (20 km / cycling)
This morning we take a dumpy ride to Bishnoi Village on the suburbs of Jodhpur.The Bishnois of Thar are known for their love of nature and animals. They are regarded as one of the most eco-friendly sects of India. Here you will find sociable hosts who will lead you to insights into the world of Bishnois while sharing their craft skills and lifestyle. We spend the morning in this unique village and return to hotel by a shuttle. After that we will visit the grand Mehrangarh Fort which one of the largest forts in India. Its beauty and dignity is purely unsurpassable. The fort partakes numerous palaces scattered with sprawling courtyards and complexly carved balconies.
Day 5 Sardar Samand (60 km / cycling)
We will begin riding early this morning through small villages and carpets of yellow mustard fields. On the way you will notice the freely roaming wildlife of this region, especially the Black Buck and Chinkara. We also trespass the old villages of mud huts occupied by various tribes of the region. This is a fairly easy terrain to ride in so you can enjoy the vistas with ease and look forward to your stay at the hunting lodge at Sardar Samand Palace. The Palace is a former hunting lodge built on the banks of a beautiful lake by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1933. This palace is situated at the brink of the lake on a hill and provides ample opportunity to see birds of many types of migratory birds.
Day 6 Jojawar (70 km / cycling)
Today we will cycle through the country roads and rolling hills to Rawla Jojawar. Enroute your way to spot animals like deers, camels and blur bulls while riding in convincing masses of yellow mustard and wheat. Now its time to rest because we going to need it as later on we will tour a little bit on foot to a nearby village so as to get upclose and personal with rural life of Rajasthan. Also you will explore hanging acacias, small shrines and village huts of the hamlets close to Jojawar which are extremely picturesque. After while we will go back at the hotel where you can laze and grasp the vintage car collection, browse through books and get more knowledge about the history from the family itself. This is truly an extraordinary pit stop.
Day 7 Ranakpur (70 km / cycling)
An 70 km day of riding brings us to Ranakpur, home to the famed Jain Temples which are nestled in a lovely wooded valley. The following day is free to explore the intricate Jain Temple complex, take a horse ride, or just relax by the pool.
Day 8 Kumbhalgarh (50 km / cycling)
Although it's only a 50km ride, the route from Ranakpur up into the Aravali Hills is one of our most challenging. The terrain here is completely different from the rest of our ride and we'll pass small hill villages and see traditional ox-drawn wells. Later in the afternoon we visit the incredible hilltop fortress of Kumbhalgarh.
Day 9 Udaipur (70 km / cycling)
In the morning there's the chance for a jeep safari through Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary. The 70 km ride today takes us down from the green heights of the Aravali Hills, down through desert lowlands until we reach the fabled lake city of Udaipur where you can enjoy a free day to explore the manifold wonders of the white city
Day 10 Udaipur
Relaxed breakfast at hotel. Later, a guided tour of the city visiting Sahelion-ki-Bari - The 'garden of the maidens' brings to mind the lifestyle of the ladies of the court. The delightful gardens appear discreet and in impeccable taste, the City Palace and Jagdish Temple. You may also like to visit the Crystal Gallery which is a fine collection of the Maharaja over generations. Evening enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola to have lovely views of the Jagmandir Palace (also known as the Lake Garden Palace, is an exquisite palace placed in an estuary Island in Pichola Lake in Udaipur, the Lake Palace hotel, City Palace, Shiw Niwas & Fateh Prakash Palace hotel buildings.
Day 11 Onward Travel
We have the day free to enjoy the sights of the lake and the palaces until afternoon departure transfer to Udaipur airport where you bid adieu to your tour escort. Arrive Delhi airport by evening and internally transfer to international terminal for your flight back home
