The foothills of eastern Indian Himalayas & Bhutan is an excellent programme to witness the unexplored natural beauty at its best. Covering North Bengal, Sikkim and Bhutan in just under 2 weeks is a fascinating journey.

Day 1 Arrive Delhi

Meet and greet on arrival at the airport by Travel Pals representative and transfer by air-conditioned deluxe vehicle to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 Delhi - Bagdogra (by air) - Darjeeling

After breakfast, assisted and transferred to Delhi domestic airport to board flight 9W 602 at 1010/1205 hrs for Bagdogra airport. Upon arrival in Bagdogra, met & driven to Darjeeling.

Day 3 Darjeeling

Breakfast at hotel. Day free on own or optional a guided city tour covering Mountaineering institute. Zoological park, mall road. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 Darjeeling - Gangtok (94 kms / 2 hrs)

Early morning visit to the Tiger Hill to view the sunrise and the Kanchenjunga peak along with a chance to view the Mt. Everest. On the way back visit the Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery.

Day 5 Gangtok

After breakfast, take a city tour of Gangtok. Visit the Rumtek Monastery, Nehru Botanical Garden. If one is adventurous, could then try the excusion to 'Nathula Pass' - India - China border line.

Day 6 Gangtok - Kalimpong (80 kms / 1.5 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel. Then drive to Kalimpong - is a remote and pretty hill station, which has been a meeting point of the once 'three closed lands' on the trade route to Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan.

Day 6 Gangtok - Kalimpong (80 kms / 1.5 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel. Then drive to Kalimpong - is a remote and pretty hill station, which has been a meeting point of the once 'three closed lands' on the trade route to Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan.

Day 7 Kalimpong - Phuentsholing (110 kms / 4 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel followed by drive to Phuentsholing. First part of the journey begins gradual climbing to the hill station then passes through the plains; a large range of foothill forests.

Day 8 Thimphu - Bumthang

After breakfast drive to Bumthang. On arriving, transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Evening at leisure in the valley on foot.

Day 9 Bumthang

Breakfast at hotel, then a guided sightseeing of Bumthang - visit Jakar Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjee Lhakhang, Thamsing Lhakhang & Swiss Farm. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10 Bumthang - Gangtey (174 kms / 5.5 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Gangtey, with en route visit Trongsa Dzong. On arriving, transfer to hotel for relax. Evening visit Gangtey Monastery and Phobjikha valley, which is the winter home of the rare.

Day 11 Gangtey - Wangdiphodrang - Punakha

Breakfast at hotel then proceed to Punakha, enroute visit Wangdiphodrang Dzong, continue drive to Metshina to visit the famous Chhimi Lhakhang (a pilgrimage site for barren couple).

Day 12 Punakha - Thimpu (77 kms / 2 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel followed by drive back to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, across the Dochula Pass (alt.3050 Mtrs.). On a clear day, with spectacular view of the snow capped Himalayan Mountain range.

Day 13 Thimpu - Paro (65 kms / 2 hrs)

After breakfast at hotel drive to Paro, on arrival transfer to hotel for wash 'n' change. Later visit Taa Dzong (National Museum of Bhutan), Rimpong Dzong and Kichu Monastery.

Day 14 Paro

Breakfast at hotel. Day for excursion to Takshang Monastery. Early evening visit a Bhutanese typical Farm House and a leisure time in Paro town. Later, transfer to Paro international airport to board flight for onward destination.
