Day 1 Arrive Delhi
Traditional welcome on arrival at Delhi airport by Travel Pals India executive with fresh marigold flower garlands for the member and then transferred by air-conditioned exclusive car to your reserved hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 Delhi - Leh (flight)
Early breakfast at hotel followed by transfer to Delhi domestic airport to board flight for Leh. On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative and escort you to hotel for check in. Complete day for the acclimatization at hotel, which is 3500 mtrs above sea level. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 Leh - Shey - Thiksey - Hemis - Leh
Tour of Hemis, Thiksey & Shey monastery. After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45km west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Late evening return back to Leh for overnight stay.
Day 4 Leh - Alchi - Uletokpo (75 kms / 3 hrs)
Leave for Uletokpo camping which is one of the most beautiful camping in the Ladakh region on the way visit Spituk monastery that is just 5 kms from Leh town. Continue drive to Alchi monastery is the only monastery in the Ladakh on flat ground. By the lunchtime you will reach Uletokpo. Evening enjoy to sit on the bank of river coming down from the Ridzong side. Overnight at Deluxe camp.
Day 5 Uletokpo - Lamayuru - Dahanu Aryans (140 kms / 5 hrs)
Leave Uletokpo and continue drive to Lamayuru via Khaltsi. From here another 22 kms drive will take you to Lamayuru. The oldest and spectacularly set Lamayuru monastery founded in the 10th Century. Visit the monastery. Further drive to Dhahanu Aryans in this palace you will find number of villages and here climate is little warmer then Leh the local community of Dhahanu believed to be the last race of Aryans, confined to the valley with their pure Aryan features. Overnight at Deluxe camp.
Day 6 Dahanu - Likir - Leh (163 kms)
After breakfast excursion around Dhahanu village, later drive to Leh via Likir to visit Likir Monastery it is famous for its huge sitting Buddha statue. It's one of the best maintained monasteries in Ladakh. This magnificent monastery stands on a small hillock in the valley, about 10 km from Saspol village near Indus River. Under the supervision of Lhachen Gyalpo, the fifth king of Ladakh, Lama Duwang Chosje founded this monastery in 1065. The monastery is known for housing a 23 m high gilded gold statue of Maitreya Buddha. After the excursion of Likir evening return back to Leh for overnight stay.
Day 7 Leh - Khardungla pass - Nubra Valley (124 kms)
Breakfast at hotel and then drive to one of the enchanting valley Nubra via Khardungla pass which is the highest motorable pass in the world 5600 mtrs and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of world records. Further proceed for Nubra Valley is known as the Orchard of Ladakh and was originally called Ldumra which meant the valley of flowers and also charismatic white sands, the snow caps, the green tumbling villages, the murmuring rivers, families of yaks and camels, the apricot orchards. Overnight camp at Nubra Valley.
Day 8 Nubra Valley - Diskit - Leh (124 kms)
After breakfast pleasurable excursion vicinity of Nubra Valley today you will be driven back to Leh via visit Diskit Monastery It belongs to the Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong Khapa, founder of Gelugpa, in the 14th century. On arrival check into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 9 Leh - Pangong Lake (157 kms / 5 hrs)
After early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft., it is the third highest motorable road in the world. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to Lukung at the western shore of the lake and drive along the Pangong Lake upto Spangmik (8 kms) the last point allowed for tourists. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 kms wide and over 144 kms long. Pangong Lake it is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the Banks of Pangong Lake while appreciating the changing Colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Overnight stay at deluxe camp.
Day 10 Pangong - Tso Moriri (180 kms / 6 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Tso Moriri, lake offers beautiful scenic surrounding. Situated at an altitude of 15,000 ft above the sea level, the lake is well known for the bulky flocks of kiang, or natural ass, which crop on its shoreline. One can also get a glimpse of groups of travelling nangpa or bar-headed birds, along with sporadic flocks of pashmina goats on arrival check into the deluxe camp, evening leisure at Tsomoriri.
Day 11 Tso Moriri - Leh (153 kms / 5 hrs)
Early morning leave for leisure walk on the Lake and enjoy the beauty of Lake and Changing colours. Then drive back for Leh. Leisure evening short walk around Leh bazaar.
Day 12 Leh - Delhi - Onward (By air)
Early breakfast at the hotel followed by transferred to Leh airport to board direct flight to Delhi for further connection to your international flight.
