Day 1 Delhi
Traditional welcome by garlanding on arrival in Delhi international airport by Travel Pals executive. Transferred in your exclusive air-conditioned car to The Oberoi. The hotel room is available for immediate check-in on arrival. Day free to relax and acclimatize.
Day 2 Delhi
For all those fitness freak, an early morning walk along the colonial lanes of Lutyen's Delhi can be quiet refreshing and for more adventurous one's, an extension to the Rajpath can be quiet enthralling.
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a guided tour of historic city of Delhi. The city where one can experience the influence of many rulers who ruled this region, a city built and destroyed and re-built over seven times. The guided tour takes you to the monuments that depicts the different eras. The tour includes visit to magnificent Red Fort (exterior), the Jama Masjid - one of the Asia's largest mosque, enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride in the narrow by lanes of Old Delhi visiting Chawari Bazaar, Dariba Kalan, (silver market) witnessing the century old business markets. It is the largest wholesale market of Asia. Later visit Rajghat - the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi - "Father of the Nation".
Afternoon tour to New Delhi to include Humayun's Tomb, drive past through Rashtrapati Bhawan (Viceroy's House), Parliament Building and halt for a photo stop at India Gate - war memorial. Lastly end your tour with visit to Qutub Minar - 73 mt. tall minaret.
Day 3 Delhi ~ Agra (by road 204km / 3hrs)
Breakfast in the hotel and later drive around 0800 hours to south east of Delhi to famous city of Agra - the land of seventh wonder of the world - Taj Mahal. On arrival, met with your guide at Itimad-Ud-Daulah (baby Taj). Later assisted and chek into hotel The Oberoi Amarvilas. Post lunch visit the grand Red Fort - built in red sandstone by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. Witness some of the breathtaking views of the Taj Mahal standing beautifully by the flowing river Ganges. Drive through to Mehtab Bagh to capture the beautiful Taj Mahal from the other end of the river.
Evening at leisure or visit the workshop to witness the art of Pietra Dura - a unique art inlay work of cutting marble and fitting it with highly polished colored stones to create images. The same as perfected in the architecture of Taj Mahal.
Day 4 Agra
Dawn visit to Taj Mahal, enjoy the spectacular views and witness the change in colour while the sun rays falls on the white marble and glorifies the precious stones inlaid into the marble. One of the best views of Taj is during dawn with less people around. The unquestionable beauty of this piece of extravagance can only be treasured by visiting it.
Return to hotel for breakfast and later in the afternoon visit to Fatehpur Sikri - the erstwhile capital of the Mughal Empire built by emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Evening at leisure to relax.
Day 5 Agra ~ Jaipur (by road 260km / 5hrs)
An early breakfast, checkout & depart by road to Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur - 'Pink City of Rajasthan' met & assisted to check-in hotel The Oberoi Rajvilas. In the afternoon visit to the City Palace, "Hawa Mahal", also known as the "Palace of Winds". In the evening experience the traditional 'Aarti' (prayer) at the ancient Shiva Temple within the hotel followed by a rejuvenating spa therapy at the Oberoi Spa (optional).
Day 6 Jaipur
An early breakfast and proceed for visit to the grand Amer Fort. Ascend the fort on a decorated elephant back, the way the kings use to travel at that time. Experience the kingly palace buildings.
Later visit the City Palace Museum and enjoy sumptuous food at the City Palace cafe(optional), Jantar Mantar- the observatory having instruments from 1728 AD for measuring celestial planet & star positions.
Evening enjoy a walk through colorful bazaars of the city. One can also experience the famous block printing at the nearby workshop. Jaipur is also famous for its Gems & Jewellery. One can shop endlessly as this place is a shopper's paradise on this tour.
Day 7 Jaipur ~ Delhi (by road 260km / 5 hrs)
Relaxed breakfast at hotel. Later drive back to Delhi and check-in to The Oberoi, Gurgaon. Evening at leisure to relax.
Day 8 Delhi ~ Shimla (by train)
An early breakfast, checkout & proceed to the station to catch a train to Shimla at 07.40 hours. Enjoy the Kalka - Shimla narrow gauge railway, it is best known for dramatic views of the hills and surrounding villages. On arrival met & assisted to check-in hotel The Wildflower Hall, Shimla - the Queen of Hill Stations. Day free to relax.
In the evening walk up to the Mall Road - the heart of Shimla and the best place to watch people. As you walk down the road to a vantage point from where you can see the Mall & the Ridge, it will appear to be more European town than an Indian or pahari one, with its Neo-gothic architecture, it is reminiscent of erstwhile British era, arguably the summer capital of British India. Mall Road and The Ridge - department stores, cafes, restaurants, jewellery, pottery, Himachal govt emporium etc. Walk up to Scandal point, GPO. The Ridge is also the place where summer festivals are held, a visit to Christ church and the library is must.
Day 9 Shimla
A relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the hill station's charming beauty, spent the afternoons beneath the tall eucalyptus and deodar trees, walk along the whispering woods, or become abird watcher for a day, explore the Tibetan towns, a visit to Dorie Drag Monastery. Shopping at Lakkar bazaar for wooden crafts & Tibetan markets artifact at Kusumpti, a trip to chaotic Subzi mandi. Evening at leisure to relax.
Day 10 Shimla
A relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Day free to relax.
Day 11 Shimla ~ Delhi (by train)
A relaxed breakfast in the hotel, check out & depart by train to Delhi. On arrival met with Travel Pals executive and transfer to Delhi international airport to board flight for onward destination with sweet memories of your India trip. Check -in for international flights commences 3 hours prior to flight departure time for economy class and 2 hours for business/first class.
