Day 1 Delhi
Traditional welcome by garlanding on arrival in Delhi international airport by Travel Pals executive. Transferred in your exclusive air-conditioned car to The Oberoi. The hotel room is available for immediate check-in on arrival. Day free to relax and acclimatize
Day 2 Delhi
For all those fitness freak, an early morning walk along the colonial lanes of Lutyen's Delhi can be quiet refreshing and for more adventurous one's, an extension to the Rajpath can be quiet enthralling.
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a guided tour of historic city of Delhi. The city where one can experience the influence of many rulers who ruled this region, a city built and destroyed and re-built over seven times. The guided tour takes you to the monuments that depicts the different eras. The tour includes visit to magnificent Red Fort (exterior), the Jama Masjid - one of the Asia's largest mosque, enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride in the narrow by lanes of Old Delhi visiting Chawari Bazaar, Dariba Kalan, (silver market) witnessing the century oild business markets. It is the largest wholesale market of Asia. Later visit Rajghat - the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi - "Father of the Nation".
Afternoon tour to New Delhi to include Humayun's Tomb, drive past through Rashtrapati Bhawan (Viceroy's House), Parliament Building and halt for a photo stop at India Gate - war memorial. Lastly end your tour with visit to Qutub Minar - 73 mt. tall minaret.
Day 3 Delhi ~ Agra (by road 204km / 3hrs)
Breakfast in the hotel and later drive around 0800 hours to south east of Delhi to famous city of Agra - the land of seventh wonder of the world - Taj Mahal. On arrival, met with your guide at Itimad-Ud-Daulah (baby Taj). Later assisted and chek into hotel the Oberoi Amarvilas.
Post lunch visit the grand Red Fort - built in red sandstone by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. Witness some of the breathtaking views of the Taj Mahal standing beautifully by the flowing river Ganges. Drive through to Mehtab Bagh to capture the beautiful Taj Mahal from the other end of the river.
Evening at leisure or visit the workshop to witness the art of Pietra Dura - a unique art inlay work of cutting marble and fitting it with highly polished colored stones to create images. The same as perfected in the architecture of Taj Mahal.
Day 4 Agra ~ Ranthambore (298km / 5hr)
Dawn visit to Taj Mahal, enjoy the spectacular views and witness the change in colour while the sun rays falls on the white marble and glorifies the precious stones inlaid into the marble. One of the best views of Taj is during dawn with less people around. The unquestionable beauty of this piece of extravagance can only be treasured by visiting it.
Return to hotel for breakfast, drive to Ranthambore National Park. Enroute a guided visit of Fatehpur Sikri, the erstwhile capital of the Mughal Empire built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See Darbar-e-Aam,Palaces, Panch Mahal and Taansen Seat. Continue to Rantambhore National Park - widely considered to be one of India's most beautiful national parks and Tiger reserves. Encircled by a series of high escarpments, the forests, lakes and dry scrub that make up the Reserve are dotted with old forts and temples, creating a wonderful atmosphere for both bird and mammal viewing among a landscape oozing with ancient Rajput history and Rajasthani culture. Day 5 Ranthambore
Early morning jeep safari to the Ranthambore National Park to see the King of the jungle - the Indian Bengal Tiger. You will see abundant spotted deers, Sambar deer, blue antelope (nilgai), Chinkara Antelope (or Indian Gazelle), monkeys, langoors, wild boars, variety of bird species such as Flocks of Peafowl, while on the lakes Cotton Pygmy Geese and both Bronze-winged and Pheasant-tailed Jacanas are common. The surrounding woodland and grasslands hold such species as Black-rumped Flame back Woodpecker, Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, Rufous-tailed Finch Lark (an Indian endemic), Painted Spur fowl, Jungle Bush Quail, Small Minivet and Stork-billed Kingfisher. There's a possibility of seeing up to five species of owl, including Brown Fish Owl, Dusky Eagle Owl and Collared Scops Owl. Return to resort for breakfast. Relax by the poolside. Lunch at the resort, followed by the afternoon jeep safari for a second chance to view the Tiger and the wildlife in action. Overnight with dinner at the resort.
Day 6 Ranthambore
Morning & afternoon safari with visit to the Ranthambore Fort included.
Day 7 Ranthambore ~ Jaipur ( 150km / 3hr)
Early morning jeep safari to the Park. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later, proceed for a short drive to Jaipur - 'Pink city of India'. met& assisted to check-in hotel The Oberoi Rajvilas. In the afternoon visit to the City Palace, "Hawa Mahal", also known as the "Palace of Winds". In the evening experience the traditional 'Aarti' (prayer) at the ancient Shiva Temple within the hotel followed by a rejuvenating spa therapy at the Oberoi Spa (optional).
Day 8 Jaipur
An early breakfast and proceed for visit to the grand Amer Fort. Ascend the fort on a decorated elephant back, the way the kings use to travel at that time. Experience the kingly palace buildings.
Later visit the City Palace Museum and enjoy sumptuous food at the City Palace cafe (optional), Jantar Mantar- the observatory having instruments from 1728AD for measuring celestial planet & star positions. Evening enjoy a walk through colorful bazaars of the city. One can also experience the famous block printing at the nearby workshop. Jaipur is also famous for its Gems & Jewellery. One can shop endlessly as this place is a shopper's paradise on this tour.
Day 9 Jaipur ~ Udaipur (by train)
An early breakfast, check-out & proceed to the station to catch a train to Udaipur at 06:45 hours. Arrive Udaipur the city of dawn, surrounded by the ancient Aravali Mountains and set on the edge of three lakes, is a brilliant kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls,gardens, lakes, palaces and temples. On arrival met & assisted to check-in hotel The Oberoi Udaivilas.
Later in the evening enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola to have lovely views of the Jagmandir Palace (also known as the Lake Garden Palace), is an exquisite palace based in an estuary island in Pichola lake in Udaipur, the Lake Palace hotel, City Palace, Shiv Niwas & Fateh Prakash Palace hotel buildings.
Day 10 Udaipur
Relaxed breakfast at hotel followed by a guided visit to the city's popular Jagdish Temple with its richly sculptured walls, further walk towards the City Palace compound gates through the narrow street. Visit the City Palace museum. It is located on the east bank of the Lake Pichola and has several palaces built within its complex. Udaipur was the historic capital of the former kingdom of Mewar in the Rajputana Agency and its last capital. The City Palace in Udaipur was built in a flamboyant style and is considered the largest of its type in Rajasthan, a fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, and was built on a hill top that gives a panoramic view of the city and its surrounding, including several historic monuments such as the Lake Palace in Lake Pichola, the Jagmandir Palace on another island in the lake, the Jagdish Temple close to the palace, the Monsoon Palace on top of an overlooking hillock nearby and the Neemach Mata temple.
You may like to enjoy a tea break or a quick sandwich lunch at the City Palace cafe and further visit the Sahelion-ki-Bari - The 'garden of the maids of honour' brings to mind the lifestyle of the ladies of the court. The delightful gardens appear discreet and in impeccable taste. You may also like to visit the Crystal Gallery which is a fine collection of crystals of every type & shape from the royal families of Udaipur over generations.
Day 11 Udaipur ~ Delhi (by air 1hr35m)
Relaxed breakfast at hotel, check-out and proceed to the airport for a flight to Delhi. One arrival met with Travel Pals executive & transferred to Delhi International Airport to board your flight for onward journey with sweet memories of your India trip.
Check -in for international flights commences 3 hours prior to flight departure time for economy class and 2hours for business/first class.
