Day 1 Arrive New Delhi
Traditional welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport by Travel Pals India executive with fresh marigold flower garlands and then transferred by air-conditioned exclusive car to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 New Delhi - The capital city
Breakfast at hotel and further introduced with your guided tour of the historic city of Delhi. The city where one can experience the influence of the many rulers who ruled this region, a city built and destroyed and re-built over seven times. The guided tour takes you to the monuments that depict the different eras. The tour includes visit to the magnificent Red Fort (exterior), the Jama Masjid- one of the Asia's largest mosque, cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Old Delhi passing through Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bazaar etc, Humanyun's Tomb, Qutab Minar - 73 mt. tall minaret, India Gate war memorial, President's House and drive through Connaught Place.
Day 3 Delhi - Samode (255kms/ 4.5 hrs)
After breakfast you will be driven leisurely to Samode village in northern Rajasthan. Evening free at leisure or alternatively, spend the evening exploring the quaint village of Samode on foot, cycles, jeep safari, camel back or horse back or simply relax and enjoy a picnic lunch in the mango orchard or the Samode Bagh (the garden resort) nearby. For the more adventurous, ride the horses up the hillocks into the sand dunes. Or, do nothing and relax at the outdoor Jacuzzi or the pool bar. The palace in itself is a museum of painting and art. Overnight at the heritage palace.
Day 4 Samode - Jaipur (45 kms / 1 hr)
After a relaxed breakfast at the palace proceed for a short drive to Jaipur - the Pink city of India. Upon arrival introduced with your English speaking guide for a tour of Jaipur covering Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City Palace, Jantar Mantar (Royal Astronomical Observatory). Evening at leisure to enjoy a walk in the local bazaar which will be a treat to your eyes. Check-in facilitated by Travel Pals' representative at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 Jaipur
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a guided excursion to the majestic Amber Fort on elephant back - the erstwhile capital of the Kachwaha Rajputs before they moved to their newly built capital in Jaipur. This is the only fort where one can still go by the elephant back even today like a Maharaja. Visit to a hand block printing factory and a textile export house followed by visit to a famous gems & jewellery exporter to make your eyes glitter with some of the finest pieces of semi-precious and precious stones. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 Jaipur - Osian (300 Kms / 6 hrs)
Breakfast at hotel then driven to Osian, the camel camp in the Thar Desert. Arrive Osian by afternoon. Check in to Camel Camp for wash-n-change. Later afternoon visit the nearby temples. Evening relax at the camp's viewing folk entertainment followed by a sit down dinner. After dinner, guest can either retire to their tents or sit around the fire. Overnight at deluxe tents.
Day 7 Osian - Jodhpur (65 Kms / 1.5 hrs)
After breakfast enjoy a camel safari to nearby oasis village Khetasar (2.30 hrs ride). Also visit the local potters, weavers, Bishnoi huts along the safari route. On reaching Khetasar you will be brought back to camp in 4 wheel drive Jeeps. Post lunch driven to Jodhpur - the city founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha. It is the second largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur. On arrival transferred to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8 Jodhpur
Breakfast at hotel followed by a guided city sightseeing tour including grand Mehrangarh Fort - one of the largest forts in India, Umaid Bhawan Palace (now a grand heritage hotel) an architectural wonder, Jaswant Thada - a 19th century royal cenotaph, Mandore Gardens - The beautiful gardens with high rock terraces make it a popular picnic spot. The garden has a gate known as the Ajitpol, which is decorated with paintings of the gods and goddesses of Indian mythology & walk through the Clock Tower - In the old city, clock tower is a prominent land mark. Early evening village safari by jeep to the Bishnoi village to see the hand pottery, Bishnoi huts and local handicrafts. Bishnois are the famous community which is the protector of the wildlife. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 Jodhpur - Udaipur (270 Kms / 5 hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel followed by drive to Udaipur. En-route visit Ranakpur Jain temples, one of the five most important pilgrimage sites of Jainism. It is home to an exceptionally beautiful temple complex in the Aravali ranges and a must visit for the tourists coming to this region. Ranakpur is tucked away in a remote valley in the Aravali range. Further driven to Udaipur and transfer to hotel for check in. Evening enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola to have lovely views of the Jagmandir Palace (also known as the Lake Garden Palace, is an exquisite palace placed in an estuary Island in Pichola Lake in Udaipur, the Lake Palace hotel, City Palace, Shiw Niwas & Fateh Prakash Palace hotel buildings.
Day 10 Udaipur
After relaxed breakfast, a guided sightseeing tour of the city visiting the City Palace - the largest Palace complex in the state of Rajasthan assumed to be built in 16th century, is a majestic white marble palace royally placed perfectly in a peak reflecting its beauty in the Pichola Lake; Sahelion-ki-Bari - The 'garden of the maidens' brings to mind the lifestyle of the ladies of the court. The delightful gardens appear discreet and in impeccable taste, Jagmandir -also known as Lake Garden Palace is an exquisite palace placed in an estuary Island in Pichola Lake in Udaipur (perfect during the evening), and Jagdish Temple. You may also like to visit the Crystal Gallery which is a fine collection of the Maharaja over generations. Further an excursion of Eklingji - the famous temple of Lord Shiva in the state of Rajasthan. This is the only visited Shiva temple by the present Maharaja of Udaipur.
Day 11 Udaipur - Chittorgarh (115 kms / 2.5 hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel followed by drive to Chittorgarh - the well-established citadel and the capital of Mewar rulers. On arrival check in hotel for wash-n-change. Later meet with your guide and visit the Chittorgarh Fort, which stands 180 mtrs high with each stone narrating its own story. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12 Chittorgarh - Kota - Bundi (216 Kms / 4.5 hrs)
Breakfast at hotel followed by a leisurely drive to Bundi, enroute guided tour of Kota city and visit of the City Fort Palace, Museum and Jagmandir Palace. Evening free at leisure and overnight at hotel.
Day 13 Bundi - Ranthambhore (135 Kms / 3 hrs)
Breakfast at hotel then a guided tour of Bundi city and visit Taragarh Fort, Raniji-ki-Baoli, (Queen's step well) and Nagar Sagar Kund. Afternoon drive to Ranthambhore to visit the Ranthambhore National Park. Overnight stay at jungle resort.
Day 14 Ranthambhore National Park
Early morning jeep safari to the Ranthambhore national park to see the King of the jungle - the Indian Bengal Tiger. You will see abundant spotted deers, Sambar deer, blue antelope (nilgai), Chinkara Antelope (or Indian Gazelle), monkeys, langoors, wild boars, variety of bird species such as Flocks of Peafowl, while on the lakes Cotton Pygmy Geese and both Bronze-winged and Pheasant-tailed Jacanas are common. The surrounding woodland and grasslands hold such species as Black-rumped Flame back Woodpecker, Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, Rufous-tailed Finch Lark (an Indian endemic), Painted Spur fowl, Jungle Bush Quail, Small Minivet and Stork-billed Kingfisher. There's a possibility of seeing up to five species of owl, including Brown Fish Owl, Dusky Eagle Owl and Collared Scops Owl. Return to resort for breakfast. Relax by the poolside. Lunch at the resort, followed by the afternoon jeep safari for a second chance to view the Tiger and the wildlife in action. Bonfire with dinner at the resort.
Day 15 Ranthambhore - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Then driven to Agra - the city of world famous 'Taj Mahal' - One of the 7th wonder of the world. Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri with a guide. This erstwhile capital of the Mughal Empire built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See Darbar-e-Aam, Palaces, Panch Mahal and Taansen Seat. On arrival check in hotel for wash-n-change. Later visit Red Fort - built in red sandstone by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. Visit the halls of private and public; Itimad-Ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) described as a "Jewel Box" and often regarded as a draft of the Taj Mahal. It was built between 1622 and 1628.
Day 16 Agra - Delhi (220 Kms / 5 hrs) - Onward destination
Dawn-view visit of Taj Mahal to witness the wonder marble seems to change colours due to the rising sunlight. A UNESCO World Heritage Site which was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal is best viewed & enjoyed in the non-chaotic and less crowded time of the day. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later driven back to Delhi, enroute guided visit to Sikandra Fort, the last resting place of the Mughal emperor Akbar. On arrival at Delhi transfer to Delhi international airport to connect your flight for onward journey with the sweet memories of India tour. Check-in for international flights commences 3 hours prior to flight departure time for economy class and 2 hrs prior for business/first class.
