Day 1 : Arrive in Delhi - The capital city!

Traditional welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport by Travel Pals India executive with fresh marigold flower garlands. Atithi Devo Bhava (Guest is god) is our 'mantra'.

Delhi is the capital of the modern India, though it is made up of seven ancient cities, spanning over a period from 11th to 20th centuries.

Day 2 : Delhi

Today enjoy a private guided tour of the capital city which highlights the great contrasts between Old and New Delhi. This includes visit to 10th century historic fort - Red Fort which served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. The Jama Masjid - one of the Asia's largest mosque, enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride in the narrow by lanes of Old Delhi Followed by visit a haveli/palace - Haveli Dharampura which will give you feel of Mughal era through the architecture of the haveli. Historical references suggest that construction of the haveli dates to 1887 AD and & Rajghat - the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.

Afternoon tour of New Delhi to include Humayun's Tomb, drive past through Rashtrapati Bhawan (Viceroy's House), Parliament Building and halt for a photo stop at India Gate - war memorial. End your day with a visit to Qutab Minar - 73 mt. tall minaret.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra (220 Kms / 4 hrs)

Today you will have a wonderful drive to south east of Delhi on Yamuna expressway (one of the best expressways in India) for Agra - the land of the seventh wonder of the world - Taj Mahal.

Guided visit to Itimad-Ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) and the grand Agra Fort - built in red sandstone by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. Witness some of the breathtaking views of Taj Mahal set across beautifully by river Yamuna.  

Drive through to Mehtab Bagh to capture the beautiful Taj Mahal from the other end of the river.

Also visit the workshop to witness the art of Pietra Dura - A unique art of inlay work of cutting marble and fitting it with highly polished colored stones to create images.

 

Day 4: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Ranthambhore (290 Kms/ 5.5 hrs)

Dawn visit to Taj Mahal with our guide, enjoy the spectacular views and witness the change in color while the sun rays falls on the white marble and glorifies the precious stones inlaid into the marble. One of the best views of Taj is during dawn with less people around. Return to hotel for breakfast, check out and proceed for Ranthambhore National Park to stay in a luxurious jungle resort for three nights.

Stopping enroute for a private guided tour of the ancient deserted Mughal City of Fatehpur Sikri.  

Ranthambore National Park spread in area of 1,334 km2 (515 sq mi) and established as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955. It was declared one of the Project Tiger reserves in 1973 and became a national park on 1 November 1980.

Day 5 & 6: Ranthambhore

Early morning jeep safari to the Ranthambhore National Park to see the King of the Jungle - the Indian Bengal Tiger. Estimated population of the the big cat is around 71. You will see abundant spotted deers, Sambar Deer, Blue Antelope (Nilgai), Chinkara Antelope (or Indian Gazelle), Monkeys (Rhesus Macaque), Gray Langoors, Wild Boars, variety of bird species such as flocks of Peafowl, while on the lakes Cotton Pygmy Geese and both Bronze-winged and Pheasant-tailed Jacanas are few to name out of 320 species.

Enjoy a picnic breakfast during the safari in the jungle is an unparallel experience to cherish.

Afternoon safari is also possible in case you are ready for a quick turn around to witness the jungle action. Evening bonfire with Tiger talks with the naturalist will add a crown to the feather of your jungle experience sharing their experiences of the jungle.

 

Day 7: Ranthambhore - Jaipur (200 kms / 4 hrs) 

Today late morning proceeds for Jaipur - "Pink city of Rajasthan". On arrival met & assisted by Travel Pals representative and check-in hotel. Evening free to enjoy the palace/hotel.

Day 8: Jaipur

Explore the grand Amer fort. Ascend the fort on a decorated elephant back, the way the kings use to travel at that time.

Later visit the City Palace museum and enjoy sumptuous food at the City Palace cafe (optional), Jantar Mantar - the observatory having instruments from 1728 AD for measuring celestial planet & star positions. Drive past the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal).

Day 9: Jaipur

Your day is at leisure to relax and take a break in the peace of your hotel. Car & driver at your disposal for local visits.

Optional activities can be arranged:

1. Sanganer visit: Home to local artisan making traditional Bagru textile prints & handmade paper.  

2. Guided heritage walking tour of Jaipur city.  

3. Elephant program at Elephant Sanctuary where greeted by the exclusive Elephant, feeding & bathing them followed by walking with elephants along with lunch etc.  

4. Hand block printing factory visit: A hand block printing factory to witness the local art of wooden & metal blocks used for printing with natural colours on handlooms. If you have interest in gems & jewels then, Jaipur jewellery shops are not to be missed. Explore by walk or guided visit to one or two shops at Zaveri Bazaar (Jeweler's market).

Day 10: Jaipur - Bundi (210 Kms/ 4 hrs)

0930 hrs, driven to Bundi town which is a real hidden gem in Rajasthan’s crown jewels to visit  Taragarh Fort, dating back to 1354 and Bundi Palace, which is built into the hillside with the blue houses of the town spreading out below along with Raniji-ki-Baoli (Queen's step well).

BUNDI - It is one of the unexplored cities of Rajasthan with a rich historical wealth. Bundi is surrounded by the Aravali hills on the three sides and is circumscribed by a massive wall with four gateways. Bundi is very famous for its intricate carvings and murals.

Day 11: Bundi - Chittorgarh (150 Kms / 3 hrs) - Udaipur (110 Kms / 2.5 hrs)

Continue drive to Udaipur via guided visit of Chittorgarh Fort which stands 180 mtrs high with each stone narrating its own story.  

Udaipur, the city of dawn, surrounded by the ancient Aravalli mountains and set on the edge of three lakes, is a brilliant kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls, gardens, lakes, palaces & temples. 

 

Day 12: Udaipur

Today you will have an interesting private guided tour of Udaipur to visit the city's popular Jagdish Temple with it's richly sculptured walls, further walk towards the City Palace compound to visit the City Palace museum complex then Sahelion-ki-Bari - The 'garden of the maids of honour' brings to mind the lifestyle of the ladies of the court. You may also like to visit the Crystal Gallery which is a fine collection of crystals of every type & shape from the royal families of Udaipur over generations.

Enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola for mesmerizing views of the historic buildings of Jagmandir Palace, the Taj Lake Palace hotel white marble building, City Palace, Shiv Niwas & Fateh Prakash Palace hotel buildings. 

Day 13: Udaipur

Your day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel.

Optional activities can be arranged like a visit to Eklingji & Nagda temples or Sound & Light show at City Palace. Or just relax by the lake side reading a book or by the pool.

Day 14: Udaipur - Mumbai / Delhi (By air) - Back home

Assisted by Travel Pals India representative and transferred to Udaipur airport for a flight to Mumbai/ Delhi to connect international flight for onward destination with sweet memories of your India tour.
